"Everybody has some genius in us.
Why don't we find it."
-Carl B. Westmoreland
TABLE seeks to invest in the next generation of leaders who will help address our community’s most pressing challenges. Through the Carl B. Westmoreland Memorial Fellowship, promising young Black leaders within Greater Cincinnati (18-39 years of age) will have the opportunity to engage with TABLE members and other leaders in a nine-month development experience designed to enhance their leadership skills and ability to work on a project of their own design or in collaboration with TABLE. Projects selected will be in alignment with TABLE’s priority areas (arts and culture, business & workforce development, educational equity, health and well-being, leadership development).
Given Mr. Westmoreland’s commitment to history, service, and civil rights advocacy, ideal candidates must demonstrate the following:

· An understanding of the historical and systemic racial inequities that have impacted real progress within the Black community
· Proven leadership competency and impact in the community or within an organization
· The ability to build trusted and authentic relationships with grassroots residents and stakeholders that lead to decisive action
